Case Study: North Shore LIJ Katz Institute for Women’s Health – Social Media Outreach
A hospital system on Long Island, North Shore LIJ Katz Institute for Women’s Health, wanted to create buzz surrounding the first annual fundraising walk to support a new women’s health institute. HJMT developed a social media strategy that focused on a series of video podcasts. HJMT filmed members of the event committee talking about why they were walking for a cause. Different causes were featured in order to connect with more people.
The videos were released on YouTube and promoted on Facebook and Twitter, which led to nearly 1,000 views. More than 4,000 people participated in the first years walk raising more than $530,000.
