If you’re reading about a local business in your local weekly paper, you tend to feel like you know that business or person because you live in the same area, which means you frequent the same restaurants, go to the same places, are equally involved in the same community initiatives. This may not be the case, but that community feeling is there regardless of whether it is true or not. Why not call the guy down the street rather than two towns over! By being featured in your local media, your fellow neighbors will feel an instant connection.
