Meet Rose Quartz and Serenity- Pantone’s 2016 Colors of the Year
Did you know that colors can evoke certain emotions? Pantone, the “authority of color,” kept this in mind when selecting the “2016 Color of the Year.”
Before the end of 2015, Pantone announced that there would be not just one, but two complimenting shades for 2016. The shades selected were “Rose Quartz (13-1520)” and “Serenity (15-3919).”
According to Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director at the Pantone Color Institute, “joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.” *
When you look at these two shades, do you feel more relaxed? This is the feeling that Pantone was hoping for.
It will be exciting to see where these colors are infused throughout the year. Have you seen these colors in action? Share with us below!
